I am cooking for my Dogo’s today. I started with 20lbs of
chicken and about 10 lbs of rice. I cooked all the rice and than I blended some
dog multivitamins, peas, and green bean in a blender. I cooked the chicken for
about four hours and than took out all of the bones. I made gravy out of the
cooking runoff and than I added a jar of my homemade applesauce, a can of peas
and two cans of corn. I added the blended veggies and the chicken into the gravy
mix. Than I cut up some potatoes and carrots and boiled them and than mixed
them in with the rice. Last I mix the gravy veggie mix into the rice potato mix
and I am done for this week. It takes about 4 hours to make but my dogs are
worth it.

Dogo Argentino and Raw Food.
So today I gave my puppies a raw duck. I cut it in half and than cut the legs off. I gave one half to Dante and one half Faith. Faith spent no time at all eating her half and Dante would not touch the thing. He smelled it for some time and than looked up at me like "what do you expect me to eat this?" I gave the legs to Rosie and she loved them and than tried to eat the half of duck Dante did not want. She eat a wing and the Faith came over and finished the rest.
So what I found out is that Dante is to good for raw food and wants me to cook for him, I guess that's fine I love that dog.
I cook for my dogs most of the time, every so often they get some dry food, but only if I run out of fresh stuff or if I have someone watching them. They still get the good dry food not that cheap crap from Wal-Mart, that food is junk and is killing your dog.

Puppy worked hard today!
Little Rosie worked hard today in her training, she has sit and down perfect every time. Today we started to train her on sit and stay, down and stay, and stand and stay. Stand and stay is the hardest to get them to do, they always want to sit. You have to adjust them time and time again. Never give up and keep working hard and sooner or later they will get it. Rosie has the runs and has to poop like every hour, so I am up late. Puppies are fun!

Freaked out
Today was a bad day for my dogs. I took them out into the field that I have for them to play in and for some reason both my girls would not play. They just sat there shaking, I don't know if there was something in the woods that freaked them out or something else. Dante played a little but he too was distracted and just not himself. There have been a lot of coyotes crying at all hours of the night lately so maybe that was it. What ever it was I just brought them all inside and than they seemed fine.

Dante and Rosie love to play together and I am amazed how gentle Dante is with her.

2nd post!
Another wonderful day stuck in the house. The weather is just warm enough that the ground is all mush, so taking 3 white dogs out is just not going to happen. I hate this time of the year it seem like all I do is clean dogs.
Dante the 100lbs Lap dog or so he thinks!
Dante, Rosie and my wife Steph.
Faith the 3 year old Female
Faith is really laid back dog, very mellow which is nice because the other two are crazy.
Rosie after a long day of playing with Dante
10 weeks old and can do more tricks than 99% of the dogs out there, I just wish she would stop pooping on the deck.

Meet the Dogos
Dante is a 18 month old male Dogo Argentino. He is a wonderful dog with a big heart. These photos were taken last year when he was about 7 months old. He ran into a barbed wire fence and cut his head, poor, poor dog.

Rosie is 10 weeks old and a very smart little thing. She can already sit, stay shake, and lay down. My daughter and I have also started getting ready to show her. We don't really know what we are doing, but you have got to start somewhere. :)

Today we worked on stacking Rosie, it was late because we were out all day and she was not at her best. We also worked on her sitting, standing, staying and shaking. She is doing very well for a 10 week old dog. Remember that with these dogs you have to train them, you can't have a 100 + guard dog not trained. 9 times out of ten when there is a big dog in the pound it is because they were not trained right or not trained at all. You can't slack on the training and if your not willing to put the time in than you should not own a Dogo Argentino!
